Terminal 2: The Queen's Terminal
Terminal 2, officially The Queen's Terminal after its 2014 opening, is home to Star Alliance carriers at Heathrow: United Airlines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, Air Canada, TAP Portugal, and ANA among them. Flying from another terminal? Compare the best lounges at Terminal 5 and Terminal 3.
The terminal has more natural light than T3 and a cleaner layout. Lounges are fragmented compared to T5's BA portfolio, with individual airline facilities alongside independent options. At a glance:
| Lounge | Access | Standout feature |
| --- | --- | --- |
| United Club | United First/Business / Star Gold | Restaurant-style dining, best at T2 |
| Lufthansa Business | LH Business / Miles & More status | Functional, fast Wi-Fi |
| Singapore SilverKris | SQ Business / KrisFlyer Gold | Refurbished 2024, à la carte |
| No. 1 Traveller | Day pass / Priority Pass / Curo | Best independent option |
United Airlines Club: Best Airline Lounge at T2
The United Club at T2 is the best airline lounge at the terminal. Access is for First and Business Class passengers on United, plus Star Alliance Gold members traveling on a Star Alliance carrier.
Dining is restaurant-style with a seasonal menu. Shower suites are spacious and bookable in advance. It is a solid option compared to the fragmented alternatives elsewhere in the terminal.
Lufthansa Business Lounge
Lufthansa's Business Lounge at T2 is open to Lufthansa Business Class passengers and Miles & More status holders. The design is functional and clean. Food is decent, Wi-Fi is fast, showers are reliable. Nothing surprising, but it does the job.
Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge (T2)
Singapore Airlines operates a SilverKris Lounge at T2, near Gate B36. Refurbished in August 2024, it is a clean and well-maintained option for Singapore Airlines Business Class passengers and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members.
The lounge runs à la carte dining, a full bar, and shower suites. Access is limited to SQ ticket holders and eligible Star Alliance status passengers, so it remains quieter than the United Club during peak departures.
No. 1 Traveller Lounge Terminal 2: Best Independent Option
The No. 1 Traveller lounge at T2 is the best independent option at the terminal, popular with Economy and Premium Economy passengers who want a better departure experience.
Full buffet, open bar, showers, comfortable seating. Day passes from around £35 booked in advance.
Curo's Gold and Platinum packages use No. 1 Traveller T2 as the primary lounge for non-airline bookings, combined with fast-track security.
